More Chicken pox

These nasty red itchy bumps are like unwanted family guest that you know are going to arrive but never know exactly when or for how they are going to stay.

Malakai's unwanted guests arrived 5 days ago. The day they arrived was the day his cast was supposed to come off. They actually weren't going to take it off until he was done with the pox. However thank goodness they saw it from our point of you and removed it. Lo and behold, there were quite a few unwanted friends just getting ready to pop out.

As we look back and compare pictures it is fare to say that Malakai has won hands down for the connect the dots game. We even had to resort to the mittens. When the mittens came off in the middle of the night and it led to howling because he picked one, we had to resort to the duct tape. The only place he is itchy is on his face, Particularly his nose. At this rate I think Malakai will have his fingers permanently attached to his nostrils. And here we thought Ginny was going to be the hard one. You especially gotta love the new yellow rain boots that he refused to remove.

That poor boy, but at least he's got some style going on!! Are you surviving? Have you duct taped him to the wall yet?! Sorry to hear about the strike too...i don't get why kids spend so little time in school nowadays. In BC the school time everyday is getting shorter next year too because...? Or teachers spend 4hrs 49 mins. teaching in elementary a day if full time. I spent WAY more time in school as a kid! Anyways...praying for you guys...

As awful as it sounds, we finally caved in and let him pick his nose. It was the only thing he was actually picking so things could have been worse. Last night was a our first night of full sleep. Who knew sleep was so nice. Thanks Erin for your thoughtfulness. Like everything else, these things will pass.
