O.k so, we get on the plane to fly home. We settle the fight between who gets to sit by grandma and who gets to sit by the window, we get out the coloring books, the crayons, the sticker books and anything else that would be needed during the flight. We are the typical excited family ready for that long 4 hr flight home.
Then.... everything comes to a screeching halt. WHERE ARE THE T.V'S? Ahhhhhhhh! there are no t.v's. Who knew that t.v would become such an important part of our lives. It was as though we were all going through our little withdrawals.
Ginny was adamant about plugging in her earphones even though there was nothing to plug them into. Blaine was going stir crazy seeing as he didn't even bring a book or anything else to do for that matter. Grandma finally got the 2 older kids playing old maid and Blaine went from relief to disappointment after he finished a sticker book with Malakai and I handed him another one.
You would think that with all three kids being entertained I would be able to read my book. No such luck. Keegan needed his cards picked up then, all three of them were thirsty. Just when the seat belt sign goes on, Ginny needs to go pee, oh and then Malakai needed to go pee. All in all I read 2 chapters in 4 hrs and I am not a slow reader.
But as the plane was landing and Blaine was asking Malakai if he could see grandpa I was glad we took the trip. It was fun seeing the kids with their cousins and checking out certain things with them. It was fun sharing Malakai's first flight with him. As we were coming to a stop on the run way and you could see all the lights flashing on the strip Malakai says "Oh! Grandpa is taking me picture." You gotta love the humor of a 3 yr. old
